About Gutters R Us in Highland, MI
Owner-Operated Gutter Installation With 20 Years of Seamless System Experience
Gutters R Us is a licensed and insured gutter installation company serving Highland, Pontiac, Milford, Commerce Township, White Lake, Waterford, Clarkston, and Wixom. Owner Don brings more than 35 years in the construction trades and two decades focused exclusively on seamless gutter systems. This is a family business—Don runs the operation using the gutter machine he inherited from his late twin brother Ron, who helped spark his transition from general remodeling into specialized gutter work.
Don's installation philosophy centers on proper pitch and visual finish. When you look at gutters installed correctly, they should read like crown molding—clean lines, consistent slope, professional appearance. He's seen plenty of installations where the gutter runs high on one end and low on the other, compromising both function and curb appeal. That's not how Gutters R Us operates. Every installation gets attention to pitch calculation, fascia alignment, and downspout placement so water flows correctly and the finished system enhances your roofline instead of detracting from it.
Because Don handles projects himself, you're working directly with someone who has installed thousands of linear feet of seamless aluminum and understands how Michigan weather affects gutter performance. He's not sending out crews with varying skill levels—you get the same craftsman from estimate through cleanup, and that consistency shows in the finished work.

From General Trades to Gutter Specialization: 20 Years Focused on Seamless Systems
Don started in construction and remodeling 35 years ago, working on full-scale renovation projects throughout Oakland County. Twenty years ago, he acquired his brother Ron's gutter machine and began dedicating his focus to seamless gutter installation and repair. That transition from generalist to specialist allowed him to refine his approach—learning how different roof pitches affect water volume, how fascia condition impacts hanger placement, and how to custom-form corners and outlets for a tailored fit on every home.
The service area spans Highland, Pontiac, Milford, Commerce Township, White Lake, Waterford, Clarkston, and Wixom—communities where Don has built relationships with flip-house investors and homeowners who return for future projects. Michigan's freeze-thaw cycles and heavy spring rains put real demands on gutter systems, so proper installation isn't just about aesthetics. When gutters are pitched correctly and secured to fascia with appropriate spacing, they handle snowmelt and storm runoff without sagging or pulling away from the roofline.

Don takes pride in local referrals and repeat business. He's worked with the same property investors across multiple renovation projects and with homeowners who call him back years later when they're ready to add gutters to a garage or replace an aging system. That kind of repeat work comes from doing it right the first time and standing behind the installation..
What You Experience Working With a Licensed Owner-Operator
When you hire Gutters R Us, you're hiring Don—not a salesperson who hands your job off to a subcontractor. He'll evaluate your roofline, measure for seamless sections, discuss downspout placement, and answer questions about gutter guards or leaf protection. On installation day, he's the one running the machine, forming the aluminum, and mounting the system. You'll see the same level of care in how he handles fascia repairs, secures hangers, and tests water flow before he leaves the site.
